Free trials for everyone! Whenever a new site is created Squeaky now automatically provides 14 days of access to the more advanced paid features, along with an increased recording allowance during the same time period. This will enable more of our new users to experience the full power of Squeaky before choosing which plan is right for their business. Are you an existing user that would also like to try the paid features? Please send us an email and we’re more than happy to trigger a free trial for your existing site too.
New Changelog (you’re reading it right now!): Historically, all users have learned of the latest changes to Squeaky via monthly or quarterly blog posts. With the new approach, everyone receives in-app updates at a more frequent cadence, with less regular emails and blog posts.
Global URL structure wildcards. Until now, all database queries that are page-level in Squeaky use an exact lookup, this included per-page analytics, heatmaps, journeys and a few others. This has now been revamped so that all the queries can use a user-defined wildcard search. This is great for sites that have unique elements in their URL structure, like e-commerce product pages, or single-page applications, as they'll now get full value out of features like heatmaps, journeys etc.

Updates & Improvements
The ‘All Events’ and ‘Grouped Events’ toggle switch is now reflected in the URL string, along with the ‘Stats’ and ‘Event Feed’ tabs on the Event History page. This means that if you go back and forth in the Events feature using your browser's forward and back controls you will change views more smoothly and consistently.
New SVG patterns have been added to the chart library so that it’s easier to distinguish between the items in large data sets.

Improved margins in the event history graph to improve readability
The event selection dropdown in the event history page has been restyled to improve readability
A warning box has been added for Text Click events when a site’s privacy settings are set to anonymise all text.

The average session duration has been reformatted to exclude inactivity, making it more accurate and meaningful.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that meant linked visitor recordings wouldn’t show in session playback when the total number of visitor recordings was less than 1.
The traffic sources label in the journeys feature now appears near the top of the column so that it is visible on all screen/device sizes.
A bug has been fixed where some sites had empty/ghost visitor profiles for visitors that no longer had recordings inside their site’s data retention period.
